Started by Yarra Valley chef Dave Walsh to celebrate his love of food.
Dave is an internationally experienced chef whose passion is fresh, ethically sourced produce and modern street food.
He has travelled the world finding inspiration on beaches in Sri Lanka, on the streets of Italy and in the villages of Pakistan.
Since 2013 we have been cooking up our smokey BBQ using free range meats,
local ingredients and fresh flavours in our food truck. We now also have a permanent base in our neighbourhood at 14 Main St, Upwey.
We are open for dine in, takeaway and functions and the Truck is available
for all kinds of catering

Digging for Fire BBQ Kitchen can come to your event or festival. Each event is unique and we can tailor something to suit every style. We have many years’ experience in festivals and events and look forward to being at the next one near you.
The truck has on board water,only needs one 10amp power socket to plug in, and can run off our on board generator. The truck is 3.2 m high 5.5 m long and 2.2 wide.It can generally fit where a car can. We need a flat place to park and and its always a good idea to let us know if there are overhanging tree branches, steep driveways, narrow gates and unsealed access roads. Thanks!
